Nice Nails

Nice Nails continues to grow in popularity for anyone in need (or wish) of a great set of nails. They are proud to use top quality Ez-flow products from the USA. Their acrylic nails sets start at 1,500 baht and when it's time for a fill-in, which is required about every 2 weeks, they do a nice job for 600 baht. They do hand and foot spas as well as body waxing and you can come in to Nice Nails and get a manicure and pedicure set for a mere 350 baht. The Nice Nails team are professional and friendly and are highly skilled nail artists. Keep in mind that they do get quite busy, so to ensure an appointment, it is advised that you call ahead. Please note that the Chang Klan branch is closed indefinitely.

You can visit one of the 3 Nice Nails locations throughout the city at:

Le Coq d'Or

With permission from Chiang Mai Mail and their correspondent, Mr. Richard J. Dawson, Le Coq d'Or restaurant is proud to publish extracts from a letter they received from Mr. Dawson in response to a recent review in their newspaper. Mr. Dawson was the Chief Inspector of the USA's Food & Drug Administration and latterly head of the UN's FAO (Food & Agriculture Org.):
"…everything about the restaurant has always been on the plus side, including the venue. Although the cost of a meal is rather high I must say that the value and the enjoyment that my guests and I have always had has been more than the cost I could have ever paid… There were only a couple of extra amenities that I found missing in your review, with the first being the excellent live musical entertainment that accompanies dining on most evenings… The other marvelous addition to the dining was the use of the old London taxi for free pick-up and return at the hotel… In summary, I would have to say that, at least in my humble opinion, Le Coq d'Or is certainly the best European-style restaurant not only in Chiang Mai, but clearly in all of Thailand…"

Open daily for lunch 12 noon - 2 p.m. & dinner 6 p.m. - 10 p.m.
