Hell’s Kitchen
Comment:
While Hell’s Kitchen is not going to be winning awards for interior design and décor anytime soon, it has cornered the market for its juicy and absolutely succulent Afro-American styled barbeques. Burst in your mouth corn on the cob, wholesome corn bread, cooling potato salad and a few other side dishes are offered, but you come here for the ribs – huge, sauce-soaked, tender portions – and spicy grilled chicken. Those lucky enough to live in the Night Bazaar area also gets home delivery. Yum!

Smoothie Blues
Comment:
Smoothie Blues is a relatively new joint that fits in with Chiang Mai's changing face and new genre of eateries. With multi-coloured decorative art and an outdoors cafe zone as well as air-coned interior, it is a welcome respite from the dank and dusty road-side rice stop. The eccentric (for CM at least) menu offers delectable salads, scrumptious sandwiches and an array of fine tasting desserts that actually taste better then the ones back home. The smoothies are delicious and come in every possible concoction of fruits and vegetables. Not surprisingly, Smoothie Blues attracts largely a western crowd; the prices are higher than most Thai places that try and emulate this style, nevertheless the end product is excellent.
