This obscure hidden restaurant down a Nimmanhaemin soi doesn't look like any great shakes from the outside. It is cute but scruffy. Wooden tables and chairs outside, a small Japanese cart to the front selling some Japanese fast food and an air-con interior. The decor is eclectic bordering on weird, looking as though the owner had asked his mates to each bring an item to decorate the restaurant et voila! and the menu is limited with only about twenty dishes offered along with some beers, whiskies and sake. But as they say about judging books by their covers: don't. The food is really rather fabulous with fresh and tender beef, tasty gyoza, refreshing tofu and scary, but very delicious, beef carparccio (raw slithers of beef). University lecturers, artists, students and even Bangkok celebrities are often seen chowing down on the succulent food and the price is certainly right at around 100 baht or so per dish.
