Up market restaurant - a great place to take out-of-town guests who want to experience Thai ambience. Lovely old teak house, gentle live northern Thai music serving standard Thai fare (mild food compared to real local Thai food, suitable for delicate tourist palates).

Ban Suan

Set by a meandering curve in the Ping River and designed by an award winning architect, Ban Suan is one of the most beautiful restaurant settings in Chiang Mai. Both nouveau and traditional Thai dishes are available, the western dishes are the most popular and although a little pricey, well worth it.
