| One thing you ought to know, taxis, tuk-tuks, red cars, can all be a bit dodgy. The best thing is to ask the price before you get in the car, not after! If you're happy with that then go for it. In Bangkok many cabs won't use the metre, some say they will and then don't, if that happens ask politely to get out. Don't argue with drivers, this will never help anyone and may get you in trouble. Just smile and say NO, sorry, I will go with someone else. Red cars should be no more than twenty baht for short journeys, if they don't specifically point out that the fare will be more then don't ask them how much, it's less than twenty baht. |
